Echolon stores all your data locally on your machine. Your collections, environments, request history, and settings never leave your computer unless you explicitly choose to sync them via Git.

• All data is stored in plain-text files on your local filesystem
• No cloud sync or remote storage by default
• You have full control over your data at all times
• Data can be easily backed up, versioned, or deleted

What We Don't Collect

Echolon does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your API requests or responses
• Your environment variables or secrets
• Your collection structure or request details
• Usage analytics or telemetry
• Personal information without your consent

Optional Analytics

We offer opt-in, anonymized analytics to help us improve Echolon. This is disabled by default and can be enabled in settings if you wish to help us:

• Understand which features are most used
• Identify and fix bugs
• Improve performance

If enabled, analytics data is fully anonymized and contains no personal information or details about your API requests.

Website Analytics

Our website (echolon.app) uses privacy-respecting analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. We use privacy-focused tools that:

• Do not use cookies
• Do not track users across websites
• Do not collect personal information
• Are fully GDPR compliant

Third-Party Services

Echolon may interact with third-party services only when you explicitly configure it to:

• Git providers: When you sync collections via Git
